Fascinating and evocative, the meaning of the Sardinian term Lintóri is "morning dew". And as is always the case with Capichera wines, the name tells something about this wine, made from a selection of grapes from the youngest vineyards. According to its producer, it is "deliberately" the freshest, most immediate and mineral expression of pure Vermentino. All this without having to give up its intense and distinctive character. Produced "only" since 2010, it is the youngest of Capichera's white wines. Vermentino di Sardegna DOC, this wine ferments and refines only in steel, safeguarding to the utmost all that is good in the initial fruit. Straw yellow with greenish reflections, this Vermentino is striking for the breadth of its aromas, which are both intense and fragrant. Notes of exotic fruits, lychee, pineapple, rennet apple and aromatic herbs. In the mouth, however, it is fruity, fresh but also savoury. Pleasantly citrusy with a clear mineral note. The finish is pleasant, with good overall balance. A "super enjoyable" wine on more than one occasion, this Vermentino is the fresh aperitif that introduces a real fish-based dinner. For those with a sweet tooth, this Sardinian thoroughbred goes very well with the classic frittura di paranza.
