Ruché is a red grape variety originating in Piedmont. In particular, it is mainly associated with the production area of Castagnole Monferrato, a small area in the province of Asti. Increasingly popular among Piedmontese wine lovers, it is able to give rise to products with a distinctive character. Wines often appreciated for their complexity and originality, just like this Viarì, Ruchè di Castagnole Monferrato DOCG, proposed by Accornero. 100% Ruchè, this wine comes from traditional submerged cap vinification, with programmed pumping over and spontaneous malolactic fermentation. For ageing, the wine is then kept in stainless steel tanks until spring, when it is cold stabilised and bottled. Ruby red in colour with violet hues, the nose recalls floral scents, such as violets and geraniums, to which fruity hints of small red fruits are added. In the mouth, good structure and softness, with a harmonious balance between fruit, acidity and tannins.
